Fighting against period poverty and menstrual stigma in the Kitchener-Waterloo community

Menstruation is a biological function that occurs when the uterus sheds its lining on an approximately monthly basis.

Unfortunately, there are institutional and social barriers surrounding menstruation, that risk the health, well-being, and daily lives of many. These obstacles, in addition to societal stigma, contribute to issues such as widespread menstrual inequity and period poverty.

We at KW Menstruation REDefined are committed to advocating for this cause through a variety of initiatives and projects that work to bridge the gaps in menstrual product accessibility and bring awareness to the hurdles individuals face as a result of menstruation.

We are about fighting against period poverty and here to end the menstrual stigma.

KW Menstruation REDefined is one of many university chapters of Menstruation REDefined, a non-profit organization advocating for menstrual equity.
