Meet UW Menstruation REDefined

Hello everyone and welcome to our first blog post! We are the University of Waterloo’s chapter of Menstruation REDefined. Menstruation REDefined is a youth-led, non-profit organization advocating for menstrual equity. Menstruation is a biological function that occurs approximately once a month when the uterus sheds its lining. Unfortunately, there are many barriers that menstruators face daily. Period poverty, stigma, and lack of education threaten the health and well-being of many menstruators on a daily basis.

Here at UW Menstruation REDefined, we are committed to advocacy, education and service. We hope to help by facilitating workshops, fundraisers, and different events.

To kick things off this year, we are hosting our first event virtually on January 20th, 2021. We will be holding a trivia night all about menstruation from 7pm-8pm EST. Come meet our chapter and learn more about what Menstruation REDefined is all about! Join us for a game of trivia to test your knowledge! Hint: There may be a chance to win a mystery prize!
